DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role entails the coordination, inspection, and assessment of the therapeutic diet program while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Clinical Dietitians are tasked with the planning and organization of nutritional care for residents and other individuals within the facility, particularly those adhering to specific dietary prescriptions. Responsibilities include the development and adjustment of menu plans and nutritional care strategies in alignment with physicians' directives, as well as established standards for nutrition, variety, and quality. Furthermore, the position requires the organization of a comprehensive nutritional care program that encompasses nutritional assessments, discharge summaries, diet counseling, and documentation in patient charts. The role may also involve making informed recommendations related to the procurement, financial aspects, and quality assurance of food supplies. This work demands a significant level of initiative and independent judgment, with oversight provided by the Director of Dietetic Services through regular meetings, reports, and evaluations of the program's overall effectiveness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:* Full-time employment, 37.5 hour per week
* Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
* Overtime and travel as operationally necessary

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSSpecial Requirement:* You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Legal Requirements:* A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
* This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
